CafeSignal helps with open public Wi-Fi discovery, connection attempts, captive portal detection, and app updates. It does not bypass network rules or replace user consent.

Allowed use

You may use CafeSignal to find and connect to suitable open public Wi-Fi networks when your Mac has no connection. You remain responsible for following the terms of each network owner.

Unsupported use

Do not use CafeSignal to bypass passwords, payment requirements, vouchers, accounts, enterprise authentication, captive portal access controls, or any other network restriction.

Network behavior

Public Wi-Fi can be unreliable, slow, filtered, or unsafe. CafeSignal can assist with connection attempts and portal detection, but it cannot guarantee internet access, speed, security, or availability.

Updates

The app may check for updates automatically when enabled. Installing an update replaces the previous app version with the newer signed and notarized release.

Changes

These terms may be updated as CafeSignal changes. Continued use of the app means you accept the current terms published on this page.
