Support

Get help with CafeSignal.

CafeSignal focuses on one manual desktop workflow: open the app, inspect usable cafe or guest Wi-Fi, run checks on the best candidate, and handle simple portals with best effort.

Before reporting

Check that Wi-Fi is on, Location permission is allowed for CafeSignal, and macOS can see the cafe or guest network in the system Wi-Fi menu. CafeSignal intentionally skips password, enterprise, paid, voucher, account-only, CAPTCHA, OTP, and unclear access steps.

Portal issues

If a portal does not finish automatically, use the CafeSignal desktop window to open Portal Assistant when it appears. Some venues require a browser action, acceptance checkbox, voucher, account, payment, or staff approval that CafeSignal will not automate.

Update issues

Open CafeSignal, go to Settings, and select Check for Updates. Auto Updates should stay enabled unless you intentionally turned it off.

Useful details

When asking for support, include your macOS version, CafeSignal version, whether Wi-Fi is on, whether another network is already connected, and what the CafeSignal window shows after running a check.
